Creating your first SDK project

If you have already installed the Eclipse plugin, as mentioned in Chapter 1, An Introduction to AWS, you will be able to see the credentials file created correctly and then you are ready to start using SDK. To do this, follow these steps:

Click on the AWS toolkit for the Eclipse icon; this will provide you with the option to create a new AWS project, as shown in the following screenshot:

Here, you need to select New AWS Java Project. Clicking on this option for the first time will give you a few sample codes from AWS and will ask you whether you want these sample codes to be part of the project.

Check the Amazon DynamoDB Sample checkbox for the first time to understand the syntax of the DynamoDB table operations.

Once done, select the AWS account that is already configured or configure a new AWS account.

Click on the Next button to proceed, as shown here:
